The formal Dining Room with its muted blush coral walls provides some
of the most exquisite and elegant space within the mansion. Featuring
massive windows with custom draperies inspired by window treatments at
the White House and Biltmore House, the formal dining room provides a
regal yet warm and ambient space for guests to enjoy. The large room
features a massive, 45-light Maria Theresa chandelier. A centerpiece
and grand focal point of the room is the massive hand-carved Rosetta
marble mantel recently purchased from a Florida gallery specifically
to match the decor of this grand room. The dining room speaks the
grace and elegance of a by-gone age. Custom artwork by Waycross, GA
artist, Rachel Settle, will soon grace the walls.
The furnishing in the formal dining room are predominantly American
hand-carved walnut pieces. The dining table, chairs, and massive
marble topped server grace the room enhanced by an 1880 English
breakfront which blends seamlessly with the American antiques.
