The formal
Study/Library is one of the most intimate rooms at
Fountainview Mansion. With its walls completely clad in richly
stained pine and floors in historic heart of pine from the ceiling of
a church in south Alabama, the study provides a warm and elegant
meeting space for consultations, intimate board meetings or reading a
great book. The study will provide a myriad of reading materials
as well as exquisite gift items for you to remember your special stay.
The study furnishings can be
reconfigured to accommodate guest tables for an intimate meal, to
display the grooms cake for a wedding reception, or hold a VIP board
meeting.
The desk of French design
features brass ormolu details and magnificent wood inlays. The
Venetian filing cabinet, one of the most exquisite pieces in the
mansion dates from the late 1800's, hand-carved in walnut. The
room also features a magnificent wrought iron chandelier and sconces,
11' windows providing an exquisite view of the rear terrace and pool,
as well as a marble fireplace with an antique European mantel. |
